On Confluence Cloud, Admins must create an Application Link before users can start using Meetical.

This setup step is required for Confluence Cloud.

Confluence Cloud currently does not offer APIs to automatically create Application Links. For Confluence Server the Application Link will be automatically created when the Meetical App is installed or enabled.

This mechanism will allow that your individual users to grant secure access to the Confluence API, and let Meetical create and update pages. The same mechanism is used to connect Jira with Confluence and other Atlassian products.

Before you continue, you should have successfully installed the Meetical for Confluence Cloud App from the Atlassian Marketplace. We recommend to install the App before setting up the Application Link.

This should take no more than 2 Minutes. Let's get started.

7. Hurray, Application Link successfully created

Well done. Application Link setup finished.

Please note, if you delete the Application Link all OAuth grants from your users given to Meetical are invalidated. If you install the Link Again, users need to grant access again. If you decide to stop using Meetical, please delete the App Link for security reasons.

If the link is not installed correctly, you will get an "oauth problem: consumer unknown" error during the first time setup. Worst case, try to delete and re-create the link. (REF: oauth_problem=consumer_key_unknown)
